militaryhomecoming

Better late than never...

I moved back to Washington right before Christmas. Transitioning back into my hometown was a larger adjustment then I had anticipated. I realized too, that I would basically have to start completely over with my photography business up here.

With that being said, I've met a few very wonderful NEW clients, and been able to spend time with several returning ones. Here is an update of how things have been going, and some of my favorite images since December! I am so happy to be back, and am now booking family portraits, engagements, and weddings for 2014.  :)

That moment.

Homecomings aren't predictable. The time is never set. Sometimes the dates change last minute. You can't choose whether it's going to rain or shine. You don't get to pick what time of day it is... 3 am, I've seen you way too many times ;)  But what you DO get every time, is THAT moment. That absolutely perfect moment that makes you cry. It makes your heart want to explode with happiness.

This is why I do this. This is why I love what I do. This. Right. Here. makes it all matter. It makes me so sad that this is one of the last homecomings I will be doing for the Marine Corps in Southern CA... but I couldn't have finished with a better one.

This is the father meeting his son for the very first time.  Welcome home Sgt. Reina.
