Hello friends! My name is Jaime Denise.

I am a dork. I am a lover of love. I am a story teller.

Here is a little of my heart… I absolutely love what I do. Photography is my passion, my craft, my life. I love people, and I love being able to tell their stories through my art. I strive to capture authentic real life, real love, organic expressions. Every photo is a piece of art; a raw moment that will never be the same. I don’t know if I could honestly say that I have a favorite type of session that I enjoy photographing more than the other — each session is handcrafted and special. I love working with clients who value "better" over "more" and who also realize that these precious moments in their lives are fleeting, and deserve to be captured and preserved in the most beautiful way possible.

A few quick quirky things you should know about me:

  1. I am a dog mom. She is a purebred Siberian husky that I rescued at 5 months old in Southern California from an overcrowded shelter. She was set to be put down in 3 days, and I just couldn’t let that happen. She has changed my life in all of the best ways possible. If you follow me on social media, you will see she has grown into quite an adventure pup. She even has a #hashtag…. #LaskaVentures :) I LOVE DOGS. I am a lover of all animals, really. So, if you want to bring your furry friends with you to your session, I will not only encourage it — but I will probably try to cuddle them in between every shot.

  2. I have been a licensed photographer for 6 years, but have been in love with the art of photography for 15 years. I started with film, and have worked my way into digital. I have taken several professional classes & workshops over the years to work on my craft, and I am continuously trying to learn and cultivate into the photographer and person I want to be. Learning and creating is the best part of this job!

  3. I am originally from the Pacific Northwest, which will always be home… but I did live in Southern California for 4 years which is really where my business took off thanks to the wonderful military community! Without that jump start … I wouldn’t have made some of my best friends in the whole world, or be where I am today. I still travel down there twice a year to photograph former clients! I feel really lucky to get to call that place a second home.

  4. Random facts: I love being near the water, I love all forms of art — and I love to try new ways to express myself even if I am terrible at them, I love singing at the top of my lungs with the windows down, I enjoy spontaneous weekends away to places I’ve never been, I love making a fool out of myself, I love sunsets, and I love wildflowers. If you like any of those things, and think that we should be friends…. that is probably a good sign that we should chat! Feel free to follow me on Instagram below, and follow my Facebook page!
